Splitrr Privacy Policy

Splitrr ("we", "us", "our") helps users process receipt data and optionally sync user-approved data to YNAB. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1) Information We Collect

  • Account information you provide (name, email, login credentials).
  • Receipt data you upload or create (merchant, date, totals, line items, categories, images).
  • YNAB connection data when you choose to connect YNAB via OAuth (access/refresh tokens, budget metadata).
  • Operational logs needed for reliability and security.

2) How We Use Information

  • Provide and improve Splitrr features.
  • Authenticate users and secure accounts.
  • Sync approved receipt data to YNAB on your behalf.
  • Diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability.

3) YNAB OAuth & API Data Use

  • We use YNAB OAuth to obtain delegated access; we do not collect your YNAB password.
  • We request only access needed to support Splitrr functionality.
  • If connected, Splitrr can read budget data and create/update transactions needed for user-approved sync actions.
  • You can disconnect YNAB from Splitrr at any time in app settings.

4) Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers required to operate Splitrr (for example hosting, database, authentication, and email infrastructure) and only as needed to provide the service.

5) Data Retention

We retain account and app data while your account is active, and as needed for legal, security, and operational purposes. You may request account/data deletion by contacting us.

6) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your data, including transport encryption and server-side controls. No system is perfectly secure.

7) Your Choices

  • Access and update account information inside the app.
  • Disconnect YNAB OAuth access at any time.
  • Request deletion of your account/data by contacting us.
